What it is useful to know, cooperating with police:

- The police is obliged to accept and register the messages about the crimes. Acting information about crimes, administrative offences and the events concerning to personal or public safety, in due time to take the measures stipulated by the legislation. I also advice to make two copies of the application. - you give one to office, and the second copy which remains for you, register in office - ask the worker of office to put the signature and a seal on yours copy. If you will be refused in this, ask to write on the copy motivated refusal. If you’ll be refused also in this, ask two witnesses to undersign that in their reception an officer refused to you. Do not forget to specify their names, data and phones. - Employees of police have the right to apply physical strength, including fighting receptions of struggle, only to suppression of crimes and offences, detention of persons. - Legal requirements employee of the police are obligatory for execution by citizens and officials. Default of legal requirements of the employee of police and the actions interfering performance of duties can cause the administrative responsibility stipulated by the Code about administrative offences (an item 19.3. - Disobedience to the lawful order of the employee of police, an item 12.25 - Failure to meet requirements about granting a vehicle to employees of police, an item 12.26 - Default by the driver of the requirement about passage of physical examination on a condition of intoxication), or the criminal liability (an item 317 - the Encroachment on life of the employee of law enforcement body, an item 318 - Application of violence concerning the representative of authority, an item 319 - the Insult of the representative of authority). - The citizen considering, that actions of the employee of police break his(her) rights, can appeal against them to the public prosecutor of area on the location of branch of police. Also there is an opportunity to address in court on the location of branch of police with the claim about compensation of material, moral or physical harm. For illegal actions or inactivity (for example, in default in reception of the application from the citizen, or refusal to come on a place of a crime) employees of police bear the responsibility established by the law.
